Elisabeth Montemurro is a digital content producer, media, and communication strategist. She holds a Masters of Communication in Digital Media & Storytelling from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication
and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She previously served as a Communication Strategist at Tribune Publishing, helping to launch coordinated editorial programs such as LA Times Expeditions, LA Times Food Bowl, & the award winning Dirty John podcast.
Prior to her time at Tribune Publishing, she worked in higher education and interned in the newsroom at WGN Radio.
Trained in ethnographic research, Elisabeth received honorable mention in the 2013 Carl Couch Internet Research Award for her paper, “Interacting with #BindersFullofWomen,” was named “Outstanding Graduate Student” in the School of Communication and was selected as the Student Commencement Speaker. Her paper, “#DearCongress: a public letter” was published in First Monday.
From commercial production to writing for print, social, and web, her content creation has a wide range. When it comes to social media, Twitter is still Elisabeth’s favorite platform, but Instagram and Snapchat are in a dead heat for second.
