Elisabeth Montemurro is a Digital Director for Progressive & Democratic organizations.
She previously served as a Manager of Marketing & Communication Strategy at Tribune Publishing, helping to launch coordinated editorial programs such as LA Times Expeditions, LA Times Food Bowl, & the award winning Dirty John podcast. Prior to her time at Tribune Publishing & Tribune Media, she worked in higher education.
She holds a Masters of Communication in Digital Media & Storytelling from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Trained in ethnographic research, Elisabeth received honorable mention in the 2013 Carl Couch Internet Research Award for her paper, “Interacting with #BindersFullofWomen,” was named “Outstanding Graduate Student” in the School of Communication and was selected as the Student Commencement Speaker. Her paper, “#DearCongress: a public letter” was published in First Monday.
